Abstract
Terrorism is, in the broadest sense, the use of intentionally indiscriminate violence as a means to create terror, or fear, to achieve a political, religious or ideological aim. The impact of terrorism in maintaining law and order, in assuring peace and tranquillity to law-abiding citizenry and in harnessing growth and development, both at the national and international level, is quite grave, gloomy and alarming. In is in this context the paper first of all gives workable definition of terrorism, international law against terrorism to minimize the impact of terrorism, the scale and magnitude of global terrorism and India’s hard wrestling with the terrorism
